GARDEN ROUTE and NORTHERN CAPE
TGI also offers correspondence courses for the Garden Route and the Northern Cape Province. For details, please contact muda.vaneeden@gmail.com
ADDITIONAL REGIONS
After registration for the primary province, guides can extend their area of operation by self-study of other provinces. Once the candidate is ready, the knowledge of the Site (province) is tested in an examination paper set by the Tourist Guide Institute.

o Free State Province
o Gauteng Province
o Kwa Zulu/Natal Province
o Limpopo Province
o Mpumalanga Province
o Northern Cape Province
o North West Province
Once a tourist guide feels that he/she is ready to be tested on an additional site/region/province an appointment is made with TGI and a written exam is done. If successful, TGI will issue him/her with a certificate for the new qualification.
The cost for these exams are R750.00 per site/region/province which includes study material that will be sent via e-mail.
o National Tourist Guides
National tourist guides are registered to operate in all the regions or provinces. To become a National Guide a candidate has to - after completing the primary province of operation - also complete the knowledge component for the other eight provinces.
